How we started

Sonoma has a plaza at its heart and vineyards at its edges. Adobe buildings recall its early California history, while harvest still marks the seasons in the valley. We started Sonoma Times to give this particular place a place to read about itself, beyond the familiar picture of wine country.

We write for people who know the plaza as a place to meet, not just a landmark to visit. We pay attention to what changes along its streets, what happens beyond them and how life in Sonoma connects to the surrounding valley. Sonoma Times is part of Times Media Service.
