CALHOUN COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 20 (Infinite Headlines) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said six people were arrested in connection with a June 6 fight at the 601 Sand Bar on the Congaree River in South Carolina, and investigators said more arrests are expected.

Sheriff Thomas Summers said the disturbance broke out during the annual Sparkleberry Duck Run. He said alcohol was a factor and deputies found numerous cases of underage drinking.

Authorities said more than 20 people were involved and at least three were injured. Summers said the injuries ranged from swollen eyes to head injuries.

The sheriff’s office identified the arrested people as Brendan Bonds, Hunter Dalzell, Lucas Scott, Edward Scott, Austin Mizzell and Taylor Knudson. The office said the case involves various assault and breach-of-peace charges.

Detectives are still reviewing video and public submissions as they continue to match names to faces, the sheriff’s office said.
