VICTORVILLE, Calif., July 17 (High Desert News Online) — Costco food courts at several California warehouses have started serving chicken strips for $6.99, adding a new menu item that workers and signs at stores in the state confirmed.

SFGATE reported that the strips first appeared as a surprise item on July 11 at Costco locations in Alhambra, Los Feliz and along Rosedale Highway in Bakersfield. At those stores, the new order appears to have replaced the calzone.

A Santa Rosa employee told SFGATE the strips arrived July 6, and a Concord worker said they had been available for a few days by July 15. The menu signs cited by SFGATE list five chicken strips with a dipping sauce and show a calorie range of 1,130 to 1,640.

Victor Valley News also reported the item at the Costco food court in Victorville, 14555 Valley Center Drive, where it described crispy chicken strips on the menu for $6.99.
