SEATTLE, May 30 — Giantex is recalling about 1,155 outdoor lounge chairs sold online through Amazon.com and Giantex.com after a reported finger amputation, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall affects blue Giantex outdoor lounge chairs with model number NP10025NY. The model number can be found on the front and side of the product packaging, the CPSC said in recall information cited by news outlets.

The chairs were sold nationwide online between August 2023 and October 2025 for about $75 to $90, according to the recall information. That includes potential buyers in Sonoma County and elsewhere in California who purchased the chairs through the online sales channels.

Amazon.com is operated by Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN). Giantex is offering refunds to consumers affected by the recall.

The hazard involves a pinch point in the chair’s adjustment feature. Consumers can place their fingers in the pinch point while adjusting the chair, creating an amputation risk, according to the CPSC.

The company received one report of a person’s finger being amputated while the chair was being adjusted, according to the recall information.

The recalled chairs are blue and measure 76 inches long, 23 inches wide and 13 inches high. They have a five-position adjustable locking system. Fox Business reported that the backrest height can be adjusted from 13.5 inches to 26.5 inches and that the chairs were manufactured in China.

Consumers are instructed to stop using the recalled chairs immediately and contact Giantex for a refund. Recall instructions reported by multiple outlets say consumers may request a prepaid return package or destroy the chair by detaching the headrest pillow, cutting the fabric and submitting photographic proof of destruction.
