WASHINGTON, July 12 (DC Times Online) — James Carville used a Friday Politicon video to attack far-left Democrats, saying their growing influence could push the party toward a 2016-style defeat as left-leaning candidates notch primary wins in several states.

The Democratic strategist pointed to Brad Lander, Darializa Avila Chevalier and Melat Kiros, and said Michigan candidate Abdul El-Sayed was part of a group that was “running against both parties.”

“These people are so f—ing stupid I don’t know what to say about it,” Carville said, adding, “You are part of the problem because you’re a f—ing idiot!”

Carville also told Democrats not to “fall for the allure of false prophets” and said “it’s not both parties’ faults,” arguing that the party cannot blame Republicans and Democrats equally for its problems.

He tied the criticism to 2016, when Donald Trump was first elected, and said Democrats risk repeating that outcome if they embrace the same approach.
